So some of you are probably wondering what the hell happened to Accordion Assassins. I have luckily been able to direct traffic directly from the old URL to this site which was the original source for 90% of the information on the main pages of Accordion Assassins.
What happened was that I received an e mail from a member of AA telling me that she had been ripped off by Mike Guana and his now defunct www.mikesaccordions.com for $1265 on the order of a Piano Accordion. So I posted the message in the administration section of AA and asked Mike what it was all about. He promptly denied it and said that it was another of the plots by competing accordion dealers to discredit him. A lie.
I contacted the woman's Lawyer. I did not get the contact info from the woman. I looked for the Lawyer on the internet and found his homepage and contacted him directly.
He confirmed that there is a case against Mike for fraud and I imagine theft.
The next day the woman sent me TONS of PROOF, including a picture of the accordion that she did receive. It was nothing like the accordion that she ordered and which Mike promised. She also stated that she had been told by someone in Mike's family and by Max in Italy that the accordion that she received was in fact about 5 years old and had been lying around Mike's house in a closet for years.
Mike had told her that the accordion she received had been recently custom built in Italy.
At the same time TexasFM3 (Felix Muñoz) disclosed that he was having problems with Mike concerning a trade they had done. A Hohner Corona Classic from the 70s from Tex for a Ranco from Mike. The trade went down but Mike sent Tex an EAD accordion and Tex had wanted an FBE box. So Tex sent Mike back the reeds and Mike promised to send Tex FBE reeds. Months went by and Tex never received his reeds. I ask, what is an accordion without reeds worth?
And to add to the scandal we later discovered that Mike ordered 17 accordions on credit from Max of Ranco accordions in Italy and never paid for them.
We did everything in our power to fix the situation and keep AA up and running but Tex eventually decided that a complete BOYCOTT of Mike and Los Jalapeños was appropriate. So AA DIED.
I have no regrets. I will not tarnish my personal reputation by doing business with anyone like Mike Guana. I wish him all the worst.

So that is the sad story of how a guy with all the possibilities and potential in the world flushed it all down the toilet. SAD.
