Ask your self these simple questions. Do you think there are any Jazz guitarists that are not interested in the Blues? Are there any Heavy Metal guitarists that aren't interested in Classical? Are there any drummers for dance bands that aren't interested in Latin Rythmns? Are there any Pop singers, Rock singers or Metal singers that aren't interested in Opera technique? There probably are but they aren't expanding their potential. The moral is that there are other styles of music aside from Tejano and Norteña that will help you to be a well rounded musician. If you have ever seen the site Nick's Cajun box lessons you have probably been amazed by what that guy can do on a one row box. www.bignick.net/BoxLessons/boxlesson_Index.htmIsn't it logical that if you can make one row sing, you will be able to do just that much more with three rows? I hope to expand the site in the future to include more technique from other styles. Not to take away from the Norteña, Tejano style, but rather to compliment it. As musicians we should always keep an open mind. Stoney
