Well Guys Here Is A Question Just To Get The Wheels Moving.
What Accordion Should Be Used For Tejano And What Accordion Should Be Used For Norteno?
What Brands Do You Think Should Be Used?
Gabbi And Hohner? Dino Baffetti And Weltmeister? Ranco And Rossetti?
Which One?
Let Us Know What You Think.

When it comes to playing tejano or norteño... i personally don't think that the type of accordion is gonna make a big difference.. we tend to forget that the accordion is only ONE of the instruments used in a band, not the ONLY one.
The sound coming from the accordion is only a little bit destinct on all these accordions... true, when you're just playing the accordion by yourself, one can tell the difference, but once the drums, bass, and bajo sexto kick in, it gets harder to tell the difference.
Another thing is that some accordions have switches for a reason... it's not one particular accordion that makes that crisp tejano accordion sound. The switches actually change the accordions output, so a different sound comes out... it's kinda weird to describe, but just pick up an accordion with switches and try them out... Gabbanelli has a 9 switch.. 9 SWITCH accordion... you're telling me with so many switches, you're not gonna be able to make a hohner sound come out of it?

Yea Amaya But Thats Not What I Ment. I Am Talking About The Accordion It Self, Not The Sound. The Style Of The Music. Like Gabbanelli Is For Norteno Cuz The Sound, This Is What Everyone Talks About. But I Think Its Cuz It Has The Switches To Change The Sound And Ad Effects. And The Hohner For Tejano Cuz Of The Weight. But I Think Its Cuz They Can Take Alot Of The Beatings. But I Want To Know What Everyone Else Thinks About This, What Is Everyones Opinion.

i dont know but in norteno u hear almost the saxaphone and the accordion at the same time....its kind of hard just to listen to the accordion when the saxaphone is the one making the more noise
