Videos
1. Bad A$$ Videos.
I am told these are great, available on VHS and VCD. Unfortunately they are for FBbEb and EAD accordion only.
2. Tex Mex Accordion Flaco Jimenez and Tim Alexander. Homespun Tapes.
Mixed reviews on this one. Teaches you five songs including La Paloma, Viva Seguin, La Tuna etc. This video can also be accompanied by a book and CD which include 5 more songs. The CD is recorded with accordion on one side and bajo sexto on the other so if you change the balance on your stereo, you will have a nice bajo track to play along with. The book comes with the songs in standard notation. This means you either know how to read music or it will be useless to you. Of course, this might be the perfect time to start learning. FACE EGBDF. (Do you remember what this means?)
3. Tu puedes tocar el Acordeon ya. (Volumes 1, 2 &3) Maya publications.
These videos are for the complete beginner. They will get you started, but then again so will the Señor Maestro program and the tabs on this site and you would save $29 each.
4. Steve Stacey Instructional Videos - Tex-Mex and Norteño <br>Volumes "El Accordeon" "Pasaditas" & "Echate una Polka"
Again the first volume will run you through the basics. Volume 2, Pasaditas will give you a ton of typical melodies that you can incorporate into your improvisations or compositions and Volume 3, Polkas will get you started playing this important style.
5. Maya Videos Songs/Canciones (Volumes 1,2 &3)
A good value for the money. Average of 10 songs per video. For the purist who wants to play "Traditional" songs from the past.
6. Conjunto Button Accordion by Joe Torres.
This one is really not worth the money at only 30 minutes running time.
7. Learn to Play Cajun Accordion - Volume 1 & 2. Homespun
For anyone who wants to add a little Cajun Spice to their playing. Dirk Powell's videos are similar to the Flaco video.
8. Santiago Jimenez Jr. has a video that you can get directly. Contact hime from his his web-site. The video is for the EAD accordion.

Books
El Acordeon Completo offers scales, chords, and progressions in an easy to follow format for Button and Piano accordion. A great help for playing in keys "Outside" the typical 5 standard positions.
